1. Alabama - The Tide will be hard pressed to go undefeated in the regular season for a third straight season. With that said, they won't have to in order to get back to Atlanta for the SEC Championship. RB Mark Ingram is a beast and Trent Richardson is pretty damn good also. Alabama has just two starters back on offense, but they have the best defensive mind in football on their side. So, expect the Tide to roll back to the SEC Title Game again this December.
Tulane freshman Orleans Darkwa rushed for three touchdowns, the last after a fourth-quarter turnover, to lead the Green Wave to a 27-21 win Thursday night over Southeastern Louisiana.
Ahhh...the best time of year is finally here. All levels of football are in full gear...high school, college and pro. This is the first full weekend of prep football. I can hear the bands playing...in stadiums big and small across Louisiana...as the regular season kicks off.
The preseason came to an end for the Black & Gold as the New Orleans Saints fell to the Tennessee Titans 27-24. The game was billed as the battle for the Saints #2 QB spot with back-ups Patrick Ramsey and Chase Daniel both getting a full half each.
Chris Johnson wore a visor and T-shirt and stayed busy as Tennessee's top cheerleader. Drew Brees and Reggie Bush dressed in their New Orleans uniforms, though they stayed on the sideline all night long.
